COVID-19 Protocols

What is Covid-19?

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses and Covid-19 is the newest known to humans. At Molly Brook Massage Therapy we recognize the severity of the situation with this virus around the world and have adopted certain measures to help protect our clients and our team. Here we will outline what this looks like for when the clinic re-opens its doors as well as answer some questions.

In order to do our best to stay healthy and avoid any spread of illness, we will be implementing the following measures:

  • MBMT will be abiding by social distancing guidelines while outside of the workplace.
  • All commonly touched items in the clinic space will be routinely sanitized and cleaned.
  • Treatment rooms will no longer have rugs for ease of cleaning and sanitation and all non-essential items will be removed.
  • Your practitioner will wear a mask at all times while in contact and while in treatment with you.
  • Proper hand-washing, health etiquette and symptom awareness posters will be posted around the clinic.
  • Receipts will always be sent via email to you as the preferred method. If a printed receipt is needed, it will be handed to you on the desk for you to grab.
  • All appointments will now have 30 minutes in between for proper cleaning and sanitation
What is MBMT doing to protect you?
What can I expect when I come for my massage?

Our world has greatly changed since the outbreak of this virus. When it comes to getting hands-on services, there will be many changes. In order to do our best to stay healthy and avoid any spread of illness, we will be implementing the following measures immediately upon resuming care.

  • Your waiting room will now become your vehicle.  Your Practitioner will meet you within 5 minuted of you appointment start time at the side door to let you in.
  • Our enterance door will remain locked. No walk-ins will be available.
  • Please do not bring family members, partners, or children into the clinic with you (unless they have a treatment as well).  Please arrange child care prior to your appointment.
  • When your practitioner greets you at the entrance they will provide you with hand sanitizer. You will be required to wear a mask while inside the building. Please keep the mask on at all times while in the clinic and during your treatment. *Note: you will be required to provide your own mask.
  • Your treatment will remain unchanged. We look forward to continuing to provide exceptional service to you!
  • No cash will be accepted at this time. We will strive to reduce the amount of contact with commonly touched surfaces.

There are some things that you can do that will help make your next appointment to see us go smoothly. We want to ensure that you are still getting the relaxing experience that you are all looking for!

  • We recommend that you do your best to use the washroom right before coming to your appointment. Our washroom will of course still be available, but we would like to reduce the amount of contact with commonly touched surfaces and reduce traffic in commonly used areas.
  • Please ensure that you have electronically filled out all of the required Intake Paperwork prior to your appointment. New clients must fill out a health history form. Please ensure that you have signed your Covid-19 Health Screening Questionnaire, and Precautionary Coronavirus Liability Release Form prior to each one of your appointments, on the day of your appointment. These documents are available electronically and links are provided in your Booking Confirmation emails and your Reminder Emails. If, for some reason, you are unable to fill out this paperwork prior to your appointment, we will have it available for you when you arrive.
  • In general, we will not be taking any clients who are experiencing Covid-19 related symptoms, are not feeling well, have been in contact with someone with Covid-19, and/or have been travelling outside of Canada in the last 14 days.
  • Please bring as little as possible into the clinic with you. Any non-essential personal belongings should be left at home or in your vehicle. Molly Brook Massage Therapy waives all liability of personal items left in your vehicle.
